RAANZ Flight
Competition
Saturday 23rd March
Our competitions will be conducted on Hokitika’s secondary runway and will be visible to spectators, albeit from behind the boundary fences. The competitions help hone accurate flying skills and incorporate a fun element:
Each aircraft will complete 5 circuits, the first will test the pilot’s nominated take-off roll; circuits 2-4 will feature the bomb-drop (a weighted bag and a ground target) and the last circuit will test the pilot’s spot landing abilities.
Host: Recreational Aviation Association of New Zealand (RAANZ)
Location: Hokitika Airport, Hokitika 7882
Cost: Free
Bookings: Not required
Time: Pilot briefing at 10am with the public viewing from 11am - 1pm
